Wish there was a game tonight. I hope the 2 days between games doesn't prevent the team from building on what they did on Monday.

On the Chara discussion I would be fine trading for him he could help our young defence Core he knows how to win he's won the Norris Trophy he's won the Stanley Cup and he's the captain but only trade for him if you can get him mad cheap

And also still has the best slapshot in the league so that's a plus too

chara for mcginn, larsson, ruhwedel and a third

this puts the skunk on the 3rd line

it also allows the sabres to call up schaller and have a legit 4th line instead of plugging top 9 castoffs on the 4th line

chara does a ton of good for pysyk, risto and mccabe

it also pushes webers ice time down big time

rest chara on the back to backs and watch this team gel

I think they'll get someone to give up a 1st for him. He's still "THE Zdeno Chara" so someone will pay for the name

Have to add Legwand to this in order to get any where near an even match on the "ugly quotient."

That'd be nice. His line with the ducks during their cup run was something else.

What do we think the asking price (trade, last year of contract) is for Stamkos or Kopitar if it looks like they will test free agency? So in a few months or trading deadline, what would their value be, in terms of Sabres players?

Besides Kopitar being drafted by the Kings, I can't imagine he wants to resign there long term knowing they are heading down hill, fast with cap issues.

Stamkos, I don't know that he wants out of TB, but I don't think they are going to offer him enough money to get the deal done.

That being said, with no guarantee of a future contract, the asking price may not be too high and if we would be confident that if he is paid, either one would sign here, I would LOVE us to take a chance.

If either or both teams feel the player will not resign, I know they will trade him (even in playoff run), you can't lose a player like that without getting something back.

TSN insider trading says they're moving closer. I think he's openly said he wants to stay there.

Stamkos is either a leaf or lightning.

I know people aren't going to like it but Stamkos is more than likely going to Toronto I'm not willing to give up players ,picks for players that's not going to sign here I'd rather try to sign them in free agency
